1. What is included in our charter?

All charters with 6 guests or less include a captain. Additionally, all fuel and docking charges are included. What you see is what you pay. If your group size is over 6, special arrangements must be made to conduct a bare boat charter and you will hire a captain separately (call for details).

2. What activities do charter guests participate in?

Guests can plan ahead with our concierge staff to tailor their excursion. Families with kids of all ages, couples, and groups can schedule their charter to fit their needs. Activities offered include snorkeling and swimming. The vessel is equipped with speakers to play whatever genre of music is your favorite. If you desire anything not listed mention it to us and we will try to work with you so that you have the best experience possible.

4. Will we see dolphins or whales?

Although dolphins and whales are a common sight along the coastline and we always do our best to find them, we cannot guarantee that nature will cooperate on the day of your charter. We are working our best to install the latest technology on our boat to enable an “on demand dolphin switch.”

5. What is Emerald Bay? (Newport Beach)

Emerald Bay is one of Southern California hidden treasures. Located in Laguna Beach California, just a 20-minute boat ride from Newport Harbor it provides the perfect scenic route to reach a beautiful destination. Nestled in the crooks of two large cliffs, Emerald Bay is a little stretch of coastline only accessible by boat to non-residents. The bay boasts beautiful calm water, reef snorkeling, and pristine views. BayWatch Boat Charters is the only charter service that offers the amazing Emerald Bay excursion.

6. What is your cancellation policy?

All charters must be canceled at least 5 days in advance to receive an 80% refund. Charters may be re-scheduled up to 24 hours prior to departure if availibility permits. Unfortunately, charters not canceled at least 5 days in advance are non-refundable. Unsafe weather is taken into consideration.

7. What form of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards are accepted. Payment is taken when the reservation is booked online. We also Accept Zelle and Venmo for easy payment options.

8. What should I wear and bring?

If you plan on swimming or paddleboarding, wear a swimsuit and bring a change of clothes. Sunscreen and towels are recommended. As our boat travels at speeds up to 30mph an ocean breeze is always expected, therefore, even on warm days, it is best to bring a windbreaker or sweatshirt to stay comfortable. Leave behind any valuables as we are not responsible for damaged or lost belongings.

9. What if it is rainy or rough?

If we must cancel your excursion due to weather, our team will contact you as early as possible. We’d love to reschedule your reservation, although if it doesn't work out, a full refund will be granted. If you’re visiting from out of town, it’s best to schedule your charter at the beginning of your vacation. That way in the event of a weather cancellation, your excursion may be rescheduled to another beautiful day while you’re still in town!

10. What if I get sea sick?

Our boats are among the most seaworthy of vessels. They are extremely stable with a very smooth and relaxing ride. Although, it is always a good idea to bring motion sickness medicine.

11. Is it customary to tip the crew?

Just like others in the service industry, the BayWatch Boat Charter Crew works very hard to tailor each excursion to best suit every party in order to create a memorable experience.
